Pediatrics

Pediatricians are trained exclusively in the care and treatment of children, birth through age 21. The specific areas of interest and expertise include the newborn; intensive care; heart problems; allergies and asthma; developmental neurological problems and seizures; gastro-intestinal problems; genetic problems; and school and behavioral problems. Days out of the office are subject to change without notice and do not include vacation or meeting days

Melissa Caha, DO

caha-melissa-doDr. Caha joined Kearney Clinic in November, 2016. She completed her undergraduate education at the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 2008 and earned her medical degree from Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Parker, Colorado in 2013. Dr. Caha completed her pediatric training through the University of Nebraska Medical Center/Creighton University/Children’s Hospital and Medical Center Joint Pediatric Residency Program in Omaha, NE in 2016. She is Board Certified in Pediatrics. Dr. Caha is out of the office on Wednesdays.

 

acasperAndrew Casper, M.D.

Dr. Andrew Casper, Board eligible in Pediatrics. Dr. Casper joined Kearney Clinic August 1, 2014. He received his medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and completed his residency in Pediatrics at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. He is out of the office on Monday.

 

mchoweMichele Collignon-Howe, M.D.

Dr. Howe joined Kearney Clinic in 1995. She earned her undergraduate degree at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska and went on to complete her medical degree at Creighton Medical School. She completed her pediatric training at Creighton University and the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She is Board Certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is also the Medical Director of the Family Advocacy Network. She and her husband, Dr. Scott Howe, have 4 children, Cori Anne, Nathan, Hayden and Linden. She is out of the office on Monday and Friday.

shaskettSteven C. Haskett, M.D.

Dr. Haskett received his undergraduate education at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska and his medical degree from the University Of Oklahoma College Of Medicine. Dr. Haskett completed his pediatric training at Children’s Hospital in Omaha under the combined program of Creighton University and the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He is Board Certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Haskett and his wife, Amy, have four children, Madilyn, Olivia, Samual, and Charlotte. He is out of the office on Tuesday.

kakeiferKatherine A. Keifer, M.D.

Dr. Keifer began her medical career in 1983 at Kearney Clinic. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln and her medical degree from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine. Dr. Keifer completed her internship and residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, and is Board Certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics. She and her husband, Bill Lindsay, have three children, Matthew, Elizabeth and Spencer. She is out of the office on Monday and Thursday.

kratochvil-stavaAngela J. Kratochvil-Stava, M.D.

Dr. Kratochvil-Stava joined the Kearney Clinic in August, 2010. She earned a B.A. with distinction in microbiology from the University of Kansas in 2001 and her medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, completing her residency in pediatrics at the University of Nebraska Medical Center/Creighton University Medical Center/Children’s Hospital. Dr. Kratochvil-Stava is Board Certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Kratochvil-Stava and her husband have three daughters, including a set of twins. She is out of the office on Wednesday.

dkpsotaDeAnn K. Psota, M.D.

Dr. Psota received her undergraduate education at Kearney State College, and her Medical Degree from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine. Her residency in Pediatrics was completed at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She began her medical career at Kearney Clinic in 1992. Dr. Psota is Board Certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is married and has two children.  She is out of the office on Friday.

msaathoffMegan Saathoff, M.D.

Dr. Saathoff joined the Kearney Clinic on July 2016. She received her medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and completed her residency in Pediatrics at Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Saathoff grew up in the Amherst area.
