PEDIATRICS
Pediatricians are trained exclusively
in the care and treatment of children, birth through age
21. The specific areas of interest and expertise include
the newborn; intensive care; heart problems; allergies
and asthma; developmental neurological problems and seizures;
gastro-intestinal problems; genetic problems; and school
and behavioral problems. |

Michele
Collignon-Howe, M.D.
Dr. Howe joined Kearney Clinic in 1995. She earned her
undergraduate degree at Creighton University in Omaha,
Nebraska and went on to complete her medical degree at
Creighton Medical School. She stayed in Omaha to complete
her pediatric training at the combined program of Creighton
University and the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
She is Board Certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics.
She and her husband, Dr. Scott Howe, have 4 children,
Cori Anne and Nathan, Hayden and Linden. |

Philip
A.Gasseling, M.D.
Dr. Gasseling is a graduate of the University of Nebraska
and the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He completed
his Pediatric residency at the University of Nebraska
College of Medicine. He has been practicing medicine at
Kearney Clinic since 1976, and is Board Certified by the
American Academy of Pediatrics. He and his wife, Linda,
have three children, Kris, Sara and Jennifer. |

Susan
L. Greenwald, M.D.
Dr. Greenwald joined the practice in July of 1988. She
received her undergraduate from the University of Nebraska
- Lincoln and her medical training from the University
of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. She then received
her pediatric training at Phoenix Hospitals Affiliated
Pediatrics program in Phoenix, Arizona.
Dr. Greenwald is Board Certified by the American Academy
of Pediatrics. She and her husband Dale have 2 children,
Lee and Anna. |

Steven
C. Haskett, M.D.
Dr. Haskett received his undergraduate education at Creighton
University in Omaha, Nebraska and his medical degree from
the University Of Oklahoma College Of Medicine. Dr. Haskett
completed his pediatric training at the combined program
of Creighton University and the University of Nebraska
Medical Center. He is Board Certified by the American
Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Haskett and his wife, Amy,
have a daughter, Madilyn. |

Katherine
A. Keifer, M.D.
Dr. Keifer began her medical career in 1983 at Kearney
Clinic. She received her undergraduate degree from the
University of Nebraska - Lincoln and her medical degree
from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine. Dr.
Keifer completed her internship and residency at the University
of Colorado Health Sciences Center, and is Board Certified
by the American Academy of Pediatrics. She and her husband,
Bill Lindsay, have three children, Matthew, Elizabeth
and Spencer. |

Angela
J. Kratochvil-Stava, M.D.
Dr. Kratochvil-Stava joined the Kearney Clinic August
, 2010. She received her medical degree from the University
of Nebraska Medical Center and her residency in pediatrics
at the University of Nebraska Medical Center/Creighton
University Medical Center/Children’s Hospital and
Medical Center Pediatrics residency program. She was the
Chief Resident from July 2009- June 2010. Dr. Kratochvil-Stava
and her husband have three daughters including a set of
twins. She is a Kearney native and 1997 graduate of Kearney
High School. |

K. Psota, M.D.
Dr. Psota received her undergraduate education at Kearney
State College, and her Medical Degree from the University
of Nebraska College of Medicine. Her residency in Pediatrics
was completed at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
She began her medical career at Kearney Clinic in 1992.
Dr. Psota is Board Certified by the American Academy of
Pediatrics. She and her husband, Kent, have two children,
Karman and Lauren. |

Kenton
L. Shaffer, M.D.
Dr. Shaffer has been associated with Kearney Clinic since
1974. He attended Hastings College and graduated from
the University of Nebraska College of Medicine. He completed
his internship and residency in Pediatrics at the University
of Nebraska College of Medicine. He is Board Certified
by the American Academy of Pediatrics. He and his wife,
Lynnda, are the parents of two children, Katherine and
Robert. |
